To meet the growing land-use demands for various industries, the Bureau of Industrial Parks (BIPs) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) is actively creating a favorable investment environment and is in full swing developing new industrial parks. In a bid to attract top-notch companies to invest and establish operations, a joint investment promotion seminar was held on July 31, 2024, co-hosted with the Invest Taiwan Center, Hsinchu County Government, and Taiwan Sugar Corporation (Taiwan Sugar). The seminar drew over 200 industry experts and government officials. With the theme "New Industry Stars, Excellence in Hsinchu," the event focused on strengthening industrial connections, ensuring balanced land supply and demand across the nation, and advancing new developments in the smart manufacturing industries.
The BIPs stated that with ongoing programs such as the expansion of the Pingtung Technology Industrial Park, the second phase of the Kaohsiung Software Park, and the Xinshi Industrial Park, along with the later development stages of the Ma-Chou-Hou Industrial Park by the Chiayi County Government and Taiwan Sugar, these parks will serve as vital hubs for supporting upstream and downstream suppliers in the industrial chain. Many of the parks introduced at this seminar operate on a "lease-only" model, which helps reduce the upfront costs for businesses, aiming to attract more enterprises to set up operations.
As the investment promotion activities progress, companies interested in entering these parks can follow the announced procedures to sign lease agreements, ensuring a smooth setup and construction process. This will inject new energy into the economic development both within and outside the parks, further boosting the smart manufacturing industry's growth.
