1.Work Scope
To respond the serious situation of high risk and rapid fluctuation of droughts and floods due to the extreme climate, WRA will promote actively the works of "water resources development and maintenance" , "water environment development of river, coast and drainage system" and "water resources technology development" with the overview vision and new concept to continuously solve the problems of flood and drought disasters in Taiwan.

2.Promotion methods
(1)Water resources development and maintenance
Executing the seventeen projects as follows: Amuping desilting tunnel engineering project in Shihmen Reservoir, Shihmen Reservoir and Hsinchu connection pipe engineering project, Daan River and Dajia River connection pipe engineering project, Zengwun Reservoir and Nanhua Reservoir connection pipe engineering project, Taichung-Yunlin regional water allocation pipeline improvement project, water supply improvement of Shanshang Purification Plant project in Tainan; backup transmission main project, Zengwen outflow channel and dredging works expansion; enhancement of groundwater artificial lake and hyporheic water, hyporheic water development engineering project II, major water resources planning project; Hsinchu sea-water desalination plant, the first stage of Tainan seawater desalination plant, the third stage of the offshore islands water supply improvement; the first stage of Sanchong and Luzhou regional water supply network improvement; the fifth stage of water supply improvement project in the area without tap water(2025-2029); and  the second stage of improvement for pressurized water supply facilities in aging highland communities (2025-2028).
(2)Water environment development of river, coast and drainage system
Executing the eight projects as follows: national water environment improvement project, central river basin comprehensive improvement and adaptation program, overall improvement project in local governmental rivers and regional drainages, Su-Ao river flood diversion, planning and investigation of backup wells and construction project in the Taipei metropolitan area, smart water disaster prevention project , the fourth stage of groundwater conservation, management and subsidence prevention project(2025-2028), and Laonong river flood-resilience program (2025-2029).
(3)Water resources technology development
Executing the three projects: research on advanced technologies for flood and drought early warning; water resources net zero technology; and nature-based cross-sectoral integration and adaptation demonstration project.
