Taiwanese food is renowned globally for its delicious taste, high quality, and rich variety. Amid rapid ecological and safety development in the global food industry, the Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs has been leading Taiwan's predominant small and medium-sized food enterprises towards growth. In collaboration with the Food Industry Research and Development Institute, the "Fun Food Taiwan" selection has been conducted since 2020, focusing on "Made in Taiwan," "Taiwan Value," and "Taiwan Impression." The initiative emphasizes three key values: [Clean], [Design], and [Sustainable]. Through these efforts, Fun Food Taiwan promotes selection, guidance, and international marketing, partnering with local food manufacturers to highlight Taiwan's distinctive features, forge a bright future, and introduce the world to Taiwan's delightful high-value foods.

The 2024 Fun Food Taiwan selection attracted enthusiastic participation from 153 companies, submitting a total of 340 products across three categories: baked goods, prepared foods, and other general food items. A panel of cross-industry experts, retail channels, and media professionals rigorously evaluated the submissions through a series of criteria checks, initial selections, re-evaluations and final judgments. Ultimately, 103 products were awarded the "Fun Food Taiwan Award," with 18 products receiving the highest honors of Gold, Silver and Special Awards.


Coinciding with the 2024 Food Taipei Mega Shows, this is an excellent opportunity for domestic and international food ecosystem companies to gather in Taiwan. On the first day of the exhibition, the grand "Fun Food Taiwan - 2024 Fun Food Taiwan Awards Ceremony" was held, showcasing the pioneers of Taiwan's food value creation to the world, celebrating their achievements, and paving the way for future collaborations and new business opportunities. Additionally, a Fun Food Taiwan exhibition booth (Booth Q0704, 1st Floor, Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 2) was set up, displaying this year's award-winning products themed around "Trend." Visitors from home and abroad can experience firsthand the impressive strength and new FUN aspects of Taiwanese food.
