The "Presentation of Achievements for 2024 Assistance to SMEs on Exportation and Carbon Reduction" is organized by the International Trade Administration (TITA) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and implemented by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). TITA Director General Cynthia Kiang and TAITRA Secretary-General Simon Wang attended the event and highlighted the achievements to the host of the ceremony.
The presentation is multi-faceted, which includes SMEs leveraging smart technology for marketing, building digital capabilities to develop overseas clients, and designing carbon-reduction packaging for exports, while TITA provides carbon-reduction guidance to the MICE industry, and assists manufacturers in their global deployments. Since the project was launched in 2023, a total of 5,795 companies have been successfully mentored in this three-year initiative, generating business opportunities worth approximately US$50 million. As for carbon reduction, the MICE industry has also reduced annual carbon emissions by over 100 metric tons.
