To expand the cluster of southern smart technology industries, the Bureau of Industrial Park (BIP) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) launched the second park establishment program of Kaohsiung Software Park (Kaohsiung Software Park Phase II). The Investment Solicitation Convention was held at Taichung Software Park M202 conference room on October 23, 2023. The convention explains to business representatives the investment environment, project progress, investment targets, preferential plans and, the Bureau's high-quality park management in the Kaohsiung Software Park Phase II. Nearly a hundred companies participated in on-site and exchange experiences, and the BIP invited enterprises to seize the investment opportunities of Asia New Bay2.0.
The Bureau of Industrial Park stated that in promoting the development of 5G AIoT, in addition to the existing industrial clusters formed in the Kaohsiung Software Park Phase I, the Asia Bay 2.0 policy also expanded the application of 5G AIoT to semiconductors, petrochemical sustainability, smart harbors, and smart film and television industries and other characteristic industries, and expanded business model verification, allowing enterprises to set up research and training headquarters in Asia New Bay and export to New Southbound countries. On this basis, the BIP has launched the Kaohsiung Software Park Phase II development program. Whether it is a flagship office needs enterprises, or general small and medium-sized enterprises and start-ups, etc., they are all welcome to station into the Kaohsiung Software Park Phase II. BIP will also accompany the growth of enterprises and hopes that all enterprises could expand their base in the south and work hard together.
The Kaohsiung Software Park Phase II is located on the north side of Kaohsiung Software Phase I, the building introduces the architectural design concept of 5G AIoT, through multiple intelligent technology equipment combined with 5G AIoT demonstration field applications, to provide manufacturers with multiple intelligent convenient services, and the building will obtain a LEED silver or above Green Building Labeling. The park has excellent living functions and convenient transportation around it. It will be the first choice for enterprises to enter in the future and will be a new highlight of Kaohsiung Asia New Bay Area. The investment solicitation convention focuses on industries such as information software, digital content, and smart applications, it is estimated that the output value could be increased by NTD3.3, and 2,500 job vacancies are expected to be created.
BIP provides relevant counseling resources for enterprises stationed in the park, including resources from corporation juridical persons and academia, there are direct corresponding services in terms of technology research and development, market expansion, operating regulations, and even resource subsidy applications, allowing the company to achieve considerable and rapid growth in the innovative process. It is believed that with the promotion of central and local policies, the layout of the Great South will not only have the effect of industrial clustering but also strengthen the competitive advantages of enterprises and lead the industry to upgrade.
