Handover Ceremony Between Taisugar's New and Outgoing Chairmen Dr. Ming-Chang Wu will Intensify Food Safety and Innovation in Agricultural Biotechnology

Handover Ceremony Between Taisugar's New and Outgoing Chairmen
Taiwan Sugar Corporation (Taisugar) held its handover ceremony between the new and outgoing chairmen at 9:50 a.m. today (6th) at the Taiwan Sugar General Administration Office in Tainan City. The handover ceremony was monitored by Chin-Tsang Ho, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Economic Affairs. The new chairman, Ming-Chang Wu, received the seal from the outgoing Acting Chairman, Chi-Hsiao Liu, and formally took the office. The handover ceremony was successfully completed with the witness and blessing of the attending guests and colleagues, which symbolizes the succession of responsibility and mission, as well as the beginning of a new chapter for the sustainable operation of Taiwan Sugar Corporation.

Chin-Tsang Ho, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Economic Affairs, mentioned in his speech that Taiwan Sugar Corporation has always been an important promoter of the national policy, and that whether it is in agriculture, technological pig farming, new energy sources, leisure tourism, or refined agriculture, Taisugar needs to continue to innovate and operate in pursuing corporate growth and sustainable development. He emphasized that Chairman Wu's extensive experience in industry and academia, as well as his expertise in food and agro-biotechnology, will help Taisugar's talent cultivation and innovative transformation. Ho also hoped that under Chairman Wu's leadership, Taiwan Sugar will be able to face the future business challenges, and be able to promote the national policy as well as manage its business operations, to make Taisugar not only the nation's brand, but also a reliable one for consumers.

Taisugar pointed out that the new Chairman, Dr. Ming-Chang Wu, is an expert in agriculture and biotechnology. He specializes in food science and food safety, and has extensive industrial and academic experience, which will not only enable him to lead Taisugar to continue to improve its sustainable management, but also to bring innovation and vitality to the agricultural and food biotechnology businesses. After completing the milestones, the outgoing Acting Chairman, Mr. Liu Chi-Hsiao, has officially handed over the leadership of Taiwan Sugar to Chairman Wu. Liu also encourages all employees to expand the new business opportunities for Taiwan Sugar under the leadership of Chairman Wu, and to achieve new successes.

Dr. Ming-Chang Wu received his Ph.D. from National Taiwan University. He specializes in food processing, food chemistry research, and food safety, and has written books on marketing and management. He has been teaching at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology for many years, and has taught many students, as well as served in key managerial positions in private companies. Chairman Wu is committed to using his extensive academic and industrial experience to continue to lead all employees toward the corporate vision of "deepening the health and new agricultural business".
