To help companies in Technology Industrial Parks respond to geopolitical tensions and U.S. tariff impacts, and to reduce risks associated with supply chain fluctuations, the Bureau of Industrial Parks (BIP) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) launched the "Industrial Park Supply Chain Collaboration and Resilience Transformation Counseling Program" in 2024. To date, the program has generated derivative benefits amounting to NT$244 million. A results presentation was held on October 16 at the Taichung GIS Convention Center, where six mentored companies showcased achievements in smart logistics, risk management, and data integration, demonstrating Taiwan's determination to strengthen supply chain resilience amid adversity.
BIP stated that the program assists park-based enterprises in introducing digitalization and risk control measures. Concrete actions include process optimization, talent development, and system integration. The program has visited more than one hundred companies so far, identified pain points for individual enterprises, and proposed improvement solutions. Through customized project counseling, the program aims to enhance the resilience of supply chains within industrial parks.
During the presentation, Yung Shin Pharm. Industrial Co., Ltd. showcased the results of implementing a smart logistics system under the program. The company utilized automated weighing, real-time data feedback, and shipment monitoring to effectively resolve the challenge of "excess inventory yet material shortages." These measures improved inventory transparency and delivery accuracy. In addition, TransArt Graphics Co. Ltd. collaborated with 10 suppliers in the Merida bicycle network. Through talent training and lean management, the company addressed technical gaps, strengthened upstream and downstream coordination, and significantly improved delivery control and process stability.
Other mentored companies also demonstrated diverse breakthroughs. Honmyue Enterprise Co., Ltd. made progress in outsourced risk management and data integration. GSK Intek Co., Ltd. optimized scheduling and equipment maintenance. Yue Dar Industry Co., Ltd. enhanced smart monitoring and data connectivity. Mega Sunergy Co., Ltd. improved changeover standardization and efficiency to counter pressures from the "Red Supply Chain."
BIP noted that the results presentation not only enabled the six companies to exchange experiences but also encouraged more businesses to participate. The program will enter its third year in 2026, and BIP will invite enterprises affected by international economic and trade developments to join. The bureau will continue promoting supply chain collaboration and upgrading to ensure that Taiwan's industrial ecosystem can maintain steady development and move toward sustainable operations amid rapid environmental changes.
